Ceremonies for the
circumstances you face.

A farewell need not follow a familiar funeral format. It can be a small gathering, a few spoken reflections, or a quiet moment led by a celebrant.

Living farewell
ceremonies.

When a companion animal is approaching the end of life, some families wish to gather while they are still present.

A living farewell may include words addressed to the animal, memories shared among family members, a reading, or a symbolic gesture. There is no requirement for speeches or a formal gathering.

The animal’s physical comfort, condition and welfare take priority over every ceremonial element. A quieter or shorter moment may be more appropriate, and circumstances may mean a ceremony cannot take place.

This is a ceremony service. Veterinary care and end-of-life decisions remain with the family and their veterinary team.

Private farewell &
memorial ceremonies.

A private ceremony gives a family a way to acknowledge a death and speak about the animal’s place in their lives.

It may take place near the time of death or considerably later. A pet celebration of life may centre on shared memories; another family may prefer a reading and a period of silence.

The ceremony can be independent of cremation or aquamation arrangements. You do not need to choose a particular aftercare provider to enquire.

The celebrant’s role

Listening, writing,
and leading.

A professional celebrant helps give a gathering its shape: deciding what will be said, how people may participate, and how the ceremony will begin and end.

In discussing a possible ceremony, we can consider who will be present, what you wish to acknowledge, and whether readings, spoken memories or gestures would suit the occasion. Participation can be quiet. Nobody needs to speak publicly.

We prepare and lead the ceremony. We do not provide cremation, aquamation, veterinary treatment or clinical grief counselling.

Private ceremonies are enquiry-led. Format, location and availability are discussed individually, rather than selected from fixed packages.
